13 Moons of 28 days

Dear Children of the Earth,

The Spectral Moon, the eleventh 28 days cycle in the Dreamspell solar cycle of 13 moons of 28 days starts with an astronomical Full Moon. This is a moon of gentle unfolding, however powerful and persistent.

A time when life asks not for more effort, but for more expansion. The Spectral Moon carries the medicine of dissolving, liberation, and release. It is the moon that asks: What must be let go so that life-force may move freely again? It clears stagnation, loosens rigid forms, and breaks apart what has outlived its purpose. 

It loosens what has hardened, softens what has been held too tightly, and clears the pathways where life-force longs to flow again.

It asks, with tenderness:

What is ready to be let go?

Throughout this moon we cross many Activation Portals: intensified energetic gateways in the Dreamspell matrix. These can heighten intuition, emotions, dreams, sensitivity, and sudden shifts. Move gently. Hydrate well. Rest when needed. Listen closely. 

As we are crossing not just the threshold of Beltane, the mid point between the Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice, the fire festival of fertility, passion, and blossoming life… another current flows through the field: Wesak, the Full Moon of Flowering.

Wesak is the great Buddhist celebration of awakening: the remembrance of the life and illumination of Gautama Buddha. 

In certain spiritual traditions, it is also a moment of profound planetary blessing, when the energies of compassion and wisdom are said to pour more directly into the Earth.

There is a mystical teaching that, on this day, the presence of the Buddha meets the current of the Christ in the subtle realms above Mount Kailash, a symbolic union of wisdom and love, emptiness and devotion, stillness and heart.

Whether taken literally or as sacred metaphor, the invitation is clear: to soften into a deeper alignment with both clarity and compassion.

Here, the fire of Beltane meets the light of awakening. The blossoming of life meets the quiet recognition of its true nature. A time when life asks not for more achievements, but for more space… space to grow out of the shell, to outgrow our limiting patterns, identities and ideas.

This year, the Spectral Moon begins on Kin 144 of the Tzolkin: Yellow Magnetic Seed, opening a potent 13-day wavespell of flourishing, awakening, cracking open the shell, and conscious growth. 

A Cycle of Breaking Open

The Seed and the Serpent in the Dreamspell have this in common...beginning the awakening and growth outside the boundaries that have been imposed on us as limitations, when instead they can become the springboard, the sap necessary to flourish. 

The seed already contains its destiny, but it cannot flower without first breaking and the shell then becomes its food. What we perceive as rupture is often the sacred moment of emergence. Something inside you already knows how to grow. Trust that.

The seed knows exactly what it carries within, but first, it must split apart.  We will be tested in breaking out of shell with the Omega series of Galactic Activation Portals which characterise the Yellow Seed Wavespell. 

We then move into the rhythm of Red Earth, a cycle of synchronicity, navigation, and deep alignment with the living intelligence of the Earth. Here, we are reminded that we are not separate from the greater unfolding.we are part of its timing.

Navigating through the Red Earth wavespell, we will experience grounded evolution and alignment with the living intelligence of Earth. 

This is especially meaningful for me, as it is my birth wavespell, a reminder that personal destiny and collective timing often mirror one another. 

During this passage, we also arrive at an astrological New Moon,  where intentions can be planted in fresh soil. 

Midway, as old energies dissolve through the Spectral Moon, the astrological New Moon offers another sacred reset after a profound deepening. 

We will enjoy a fertile pause. In the dark humus, the quiet soil where intentions can be planted without force. As the old dissolves, the new does not rush, it roots.

The final days of the Spectral Moon land within the White Dog wavespell, bringing us toward the frequencies of heart, loyalty, love, and devotion. 

After all the releasing and reorienting, we come back to what is simple and true: love that is steady, love that nourishes life, love that does not ask us to disappear.

Moving Through Intensified Energy

Throughout this Spectral Moon, energetic gateways may feel more pronounced: heightening sensitivity, intuition, emotions, and dreams. Move gently with yourself.
Drink water. Rest often. Let your body be your compass. You don’t need to keep up. You only need to stay present.

The Invitation to Release

This is a time to soften the grip of control. To loosen the identity that says “I must hold everything together.” Sometimes, what we call stability is simply familiarity. And sometimes, what feels like chaos is actually life rearranging itself into a more honest shape. Let things fall away that no longer belong to who you are becoming.

Let yourself be fluid. Unfixed. In motion.

Ask yourself:

• What am I holding onto, and why?
• Where am I resisting change that is already underway?
• Can I trust that life is moving with me, not against me?

Releasing Co-Dependency & Inherited Patterns

This Spectral Moon gently illuminates the ways we’ve learned to love through self-abandonment.

Many of us were taught to earn connection by over-giving, pleasing, rescuing, or shrinking. These patterns once protected us, but they are not who we are. Now, there is an invitation to love differently.

To ask:

• Where do I confuse love with sacrifice?
• Where am I carrying what isn’t mine?
• Where do I seek approval instead of trusting myself?
• What patterns did I inherit, rather than choose?

Releasing co-dependency is not a withdrawal from love. It is a return to love with integrity. Love with healthy boundaries and also for overcoming the boundaries of the delusive self. Only then there is Love with clarity. Love that includes you and the other… because there is no separation. Only interbeing.

A Collective Unraveling

On a wider scale, this may be a time where structures begin to show their cracks.

We may witness:

• sudden shifts that require adaptation
• truths rising unexpectedly to the surface
• a deep longing for authentic community
• the dissolving of dynamics rooted in control or exhaustion
• a reconnection with land, body, and natural rhythm

This is not destruction for its own sake.
It is composting. What breaks down becomes nourishment for what is more alive.

A Personal Threshold

On a personal level, the Spectral moon may feel like a quiet turning point.

A moment to ask:

• What version of myself am I outgrowing?
• What habits drain my vitality?
• Where do I betray myself in order to belong?
• What would it feel like to trust love more deeply?

You may feel called to simplify, to clear space, to move your body, to cry, to speak truth, to rest, or to begin again.

Trust those impulses. They are not random.

Practices for This Moon

Let your approach be gentle and intuitive:

• Clear physical and emotional space;
• Spend time with the Earth, barefoot if you can;
• Journal your dreams and synchronicities;
• Notice where resentment reveals a need for boundaries;
• Hydrate and support your nervous system;
• Plant quiet intentions at the New Moon;
• Follow what feels alive, rather than what feels expected;
• Choose love, again and again, in small ways;

Essence of the Spectral Moon

Break open.
Release.
Listen.
Recalibrate.
Root deeper.
Love more cleanly.
Love more freely.

The Spectral Moon does not take what is essential.
It only dissolves what stands in the way of your flowering.
