13 Moons of 28 days

Every year, on July 25th, the 13 Moon Synchronometer celebrates the Day Out of Time. It is a day that belongs to no moon and, symbolically, exists beyond time itself: a pause between one breath of the year and the next, a sacred space dedicated to gratitude, forgiveness, art and reconciliation.
Since 2006, the year I first encountered the Dreamspell, coded by the Red Magnetic Moon.
I have celebrated and written about this extraordinary day. Yet today I feel called to do so from a different place. More simply. More human. More Earthly.

Over the years I have quietly observed the controversies surrounding the Dreamspell and its relationship with the sacred calendar still preserved by the living Maya peoples. It is a subject that has accompanied me in silence and invited me into deep reflection.

The Dreamspell has taught me to experience time as an expression of art, to recognise the beauty of synchronicity, and to listen to the symbolic language of Nature. For this I will always remain deeply grateful to Lloydine Burris and José Argüelles, who developed this synchronometer inspired, among many other sources, by the teachings of Tony Shearer, who entrusted them with a copy of this prophetic calendar. Tony, a Lakota elder and devoted student of Mesoamerican traditions, is known within the Dreamspell Synchronometer as White Magnetic Wind, Kin 222.

At the same time, I wish to acknowledge with great respect that the Dreamspell is not the same as the Cholq'ij, the sacred ceremonial calendar still lovingly carried by the Maya Daykeepers of Guatemala and other Indigenous communities. Although both systems share the same matrix of twenty archetypes and thirteen tones, they follow different correlations with the Gregorian calendar and belong to distinct historical, cultural and spiritual traditions.

Therefore, on this Day Out of Time, a day devoted to forgiveness and reconciliation I would like to express something that has lived quietly in my heart for many years.

My deepest gratitude goes to the Keepers of the living Maya tradition.
I wish to honour their wisdom and recognise the extraordinary work they continue to do in preserving the Cholq'ij through countless generations.
The Dreamspell has opened the hearts of thousands of people throughout the world.
The Cholq'ij, meanwhile, continues to be the living breath of a people.

I believe both realities deserve our deepest respect, without either one diminishing the other.
If, in the enthusiasm of sharing the Dreamspell since the Harmonic Convergence of 1987, those of us walking this synchronic path have, even unintentionally, contributed to confusion between these two traditions, I would like to offer my own sincere apology, personally, and from my heart, to the Keepers of the living Maya tradition.
The intention has never been to speak on behalf of the Maya people or to replace an ancestral lineage.
Rather, it has always been an expression of gratitude for the wisdom they have lovingly preserved.
Mutual respect is, perhaps, one of the highest expressions of beauty.

And this year, synchronicity seems to remind us of exactly that.

The Day Out of Time 2026 falls on Yellow Resonant Star (Kin 208), at the heart of the White Wind Wavespell, bringing to completion the solar year of the Yellow Resonant Seed within the White Mirror Wavespell.
What a beautiful synchronicity.

Time, as we know it, exists only here on this extraordinary planet travelling through space with our Solar System, itself journeying through the Milky Way and beyond.
Over the years a deep understanding has continued to grow within me.
Whatever language we choose to describe it, every experience lived on Earth possesses evolutionary value.
Nothing is wasted.
Every meeting, every mistake, every joy and every sorrow expands the consciousness of Life itself.
I like to imagine that every living being contributes to what Pierre Teilhard de Chardin called the Noosphere—that sphere of consciousness embracing the Earth and continuously enriched through the lived experience of every form of life.
Not simply through the accumulation of knowledge, but through the wisdom born from direct experience and an open heart.
This journey does not belong to humanity alone.
It belongs to the entire community of Life.

To the reptiles that inhabited Earth for hundreds of millions of years. To the dinosaurs that profoundly shaped the history of our planet. To the fungi, those extraordinary bridge-builders weaving together unseen worlds. To the plants, guardians of the Earth's breath. To the animals, expressing the countless forms of Nature's intelligence. All participate in the evolution of terrestrial consciousness.
So do we.
Before we are Italian, Scottish, Australian, Canadian, or members of any culture or nation...
we are Earthlings.
Children of the same living Earth.

Our genome carries the memory of billions of years of shared evolution and continues evolving together with the planet that gives us life. Perhaps evolution is not about becoming something different from what we already are.
Perhaps it is about remembering, ever more deeply, that we belong to the great fabric of Life.
And perhaps it is this remembrance that one day allows us to return to the Source with our hearts completely open.
This year, that threshold carries an especially profound significance. We complete the year of the Yellow Resonant Seed within the White Mirror Wavespell, a cycle that has invited us to cultivate integrity, to distinguish what is authentic from what is illusion, and to allow the seed of our true nature to find fertile ground.

Now Yellow Resonant Star, within the White Wind Wavespell, reminds us that beauty is not born from perfection.
It arises from harmony with Spirit.

The Resonant Tone is the tone of attunement.
Like a musical instrument finding its true note, we are invited to tune our lives to what is essential. To listen before speaking.
To breathe before acting. To allow Spirit -the White Wind- to find its voice through us.

Perhaps the question this Day Out of Time gently asks is simply this:
Does my life generate harmony with Divine Consciousness?
Not perfection. Not success. Harmony.
The Day Out of Time is not merely the end of a year.
It is a threshold.
A sacred breath suspended between who we have been and who we are becoming.
Then, on July 26th, everything begins anew.
We enter the Red Galactic Moon, the eighth day of the White Wind Wavespell. This is far more than a beautiful coincidence.
Tone Eight is the Galactic Tone of integrity, harmony and integration. It marks the moment when understanding ceases to be merely intellectual and becomes embodied wisdom.
As though, after listening to the breath of Spirit for seven days, we are finally ready to become that breath.
I find it extraordinary that this new solar year begins with a Galactic Moon.

The entire cycle of the next thirteen moons will be infused with this invitation to spiritual integrity.
Within the Dreamspell, every Galactic Tone Eight is also a fractal of time, inviting us to integrate the wisdom gathered through every cycle of thirteen, thirteen days, thirteen moons and thirteen years.
This year we can feel that resonance in a particularly profound way. On one level, we integrate the thirteen-year journey that began on July 26th, 2019.
On another, we also gather the echoes of the previous thirteen-year cycle that began with the Red Magnetic Moon on July 26th, 2006, for Tone Eight always embodies the complete integration of the previous thirteen-tone cycle while carrying the same solar archetype. 

To witness these great cycles weaving together continues to fill me with wonder.
Perhaps this is the gift of fractal time.
Nothing truly moves in a straight line.
Everything returns at a deeper octave, offering new opportunities for understanding, healing and remembrance.
The Red Moon governs the universal waters, our emotions, memory and purification.
This new year seems to invite us to let everything that no longer belongs to our deepest truth dissolve gently, like the outgoing tide.

It is a time to purify the heart, honour the sacred waters within us, and remember that integrity is not about being perfect.
It is about becoming whole.

The Day Out of Time does not require elaborate ceremonies.
It asks only for presence.
Perhaps you may wish to sit quietly by the water.
Watch the sky.
Offer gratitude to your body.
Write down what you are ready to release.
Or simply create something beautiful: a poem, a mandala, a song, a painting, or even a moment of shared silence.
The Yellow Star reminds us that beauty is not perfection.
Beauty is harmony.
And harmony arises when every part of ourselves finds its rightful place within the great fabric of Life.
Perhaps this year, the greatest ceremony we can offer is simply to become a little more authentic, a little more compassionate, and a little more present, with ourselves, with one another, and with the living Earth that holds us all.

May this Day Out of Time become a bridge...
between the past and the future,
between mind and heart,
between ancient wisdom and new understanding,
between all the peoples who lovingly safeguard the memory of the Earth.
May we remember that the most sacred measure of time is not found in calendars, but in the quality of our presence.
Wherever and however you choose to celebrate this Day Out of Time, know that countless hearts around the world will be pausing together in gratitude, creating a shared field of intention within the Noosphere.

-A reflection to carry into the New Year
I would like to leave you with these words by Humberto Braga, which, to me, beautifully capture the spirit of this Day Out of Time and the invitation of the coming Galactic Moon year:
